
Acworth city's commitment to public safety was on full display at the regular city council meeting this past Thursday, where new and promoted members of the police force took center stage. Chief Jesse Evans oversaw the administration of the oath of office to recently hired Justin Reed, along with several others, as part of the Acworth Public Safety Liaison (PSL) program. In addition, Senior Records Technician Dori Askew and multiple police officers were recognized for their advancements within the department.
These promotions included the rise of Sergeant Eric Mistretta, Sergeant Stanley Almon, Corporal Tamara Severtson, Corporal Nick Hardy, and Corporal Victor Guevara to higher ranks in the department. According to a release by Acworth's official government website.
