
The Allen Park Police Department has issued a call for assistance from the public in locating Carolyn Jackson, a 67-year-old woman who has been reported missing after wandering away from the Maple Heights Retirement Community. According to the information provided by the Allen Park Police Department on its Facebook page, Jackson departed the facility on Saturday, Aug. 31. Suffering from diabetes and some mental health issues, and being hard of hearing, her disappearance has raised immediate concern.
In their latest update, authorities noted that she was seen near Goddard and Reeck roads, providing a glimmer of hope for her swift recovery. The Allen Park Police Department have mobile units canvassing the area, while urging anyone with valuable information or sightings to directly contact emergency services. The last confirmed sighting positioned her in close proximity to Goddard and Northline roads in Southgate at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, as mentioned in a news report by ClickOnDetroit.
Further details were shared by the Allen Park Police Department via an update on their Facebook page, indicating that Jackson was last seen at the park at Melbourne and Chatham. Community members with any information that might lead to locating Jackson are encouraged to reach out to the APPD Station at 313-386-7800.
