Arlington residents can expect to see some significant street and sidewalk enhancements starting next month as the city gears up to begin the 2024 Reclamation and Miscellaneous Concrete Program. Focused on improving the infrastructure around Jake Langston Park and N.L. Robinson Park, the project will include sweeping streets such as West Mayfield Road and West Pleasant Ridge Road. For those interested in visualizing the scope of work, the City of Arlington has provided a map detailing the affected areas.
The project aims to improve the neighborhood from October 2024 to October 2025 by updating roads with new pavement and enhancing the roadway base. It will also include sidewalk repairs and updates to curbs and gutters. The Public Works Department will meet on September 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. to share details with residents at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch Library’s Community Room.
This project is part of Arlington's plan to manage and maintain roads. It includes collecting data to help with maintenance and aims to improve road conditions and mobility. For updates and more details on this and other projects, visit the Public Works Department’s website.
