A 54-year-old Tower Grove South resident was disturbed by an early-morning encounter on Tuesday, when she was robbed by two armed people. The incident happened in the rear of the 3500 block of S. Spring at about 8:20 a.m.,  according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police.

The woman was going about her day, retrieving items from her car, when a gray 4-door sedan pulled up behind her, she told St. Louis Metropolitan Police officers. Two men got out, showed handguns, and demanded her belongings. They took her purse, key fob, and cell phone before driving away. Fortunately, the victim did not suffer any physical injuries.

District 2 of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police is now investigating the case, seeking any leads to help catch those responsible for the crime. The authorities are examining the robbery, gathering evidence, and urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward.
