
In the early hours of September 1, a man was found dead in Baltimore's Eastern District, triggering a homicide investigation that is currently underway. According to the Baltimore Police Department, at approximately 12 a.m., local law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting on the 800 block of Bonaparte Avenue.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 38-year-old male who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of medics, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. In the wake of this tragedy, the Medical Examiner's Office has taken custody of the victim’s body to perform an autopsy to further understand the circumstances under which these events unfolded.
