The City of Bloomington, in partnership with American Legion Post #550, is organizing an event to honor local veterans. The annual Veterans Appreciation Celebration is scheduled for Friday, November 8, taking place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Minnesota Masonic Heritage Center. According to the City of Bloomington announcement, the event is designed to recognize the sacrifice and service of Bloomington veterans and their families.
Those interested in attending should take note; seating for the celebration is limited and thus, registration is mandatory. Veterans and their guests can secure their spot by registering before October 22, or until the event reaches its capacity. The program will include a short program designed to honor the veterans, followed by a complimentary lunch.
Community Outreach and Engagement is handling the registration process. Bloomington veterans who wish to attend the celebration can get in touch by dialing 952-563-8733, using the MN Relay 711, or by emailing [email protected]. This tribute is not only a gesture of gratitude but also a means to foster community bonds and offer a space for reflection and camaraderie among those who have served.
The city and American Legion Post #550 are asking those who plan to attend to make their registration before the deadline to ensure a spot at this esteemed event. The Minnesota Masonic Heritage Center, located at 11411 Masonic Home Drive, will be the backdrop for this year's gathering, where the contributions of the veterans will be recognized and celebrated by the community they serve.
