A 15-year-old male has been arrested in Dorchester on charges of carrying a loaded firearm without proper licensing and possession of ammunition. According to a report by the Boston Police Department, the arrest occurred yesterday at approximately 6:55 PM near the intersection of Pleasant Street and Pearl Street.
While officers were attending an event nearby and observing a disturbance across the street, a passerby informed them that one of the individuals involved had a firearm. The Boston Police stated that upon their approach, the two suspects in question separated and proceeded in opposite directions. Officers released one individual after stopping and investigating him. The other suspect, who fled on foot and ignored officers' commands to stop, was eventually handcuffed after resisting. A pat frisk revealed a SCCY CPX-1 firearm in his fanny pack, which was loaded with one round in the chamber and seven additional rounds in the magazine.
The male juvenile is now facing multiple charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is being processed for arraignment at the Dorchester District Court. The specifics of his identity have not been disclosed owing to his status as a minor.
