
Early Tuesday morning, South End police officers arrested a man on charges of breaking and entering in the Worcester Square area of Boston. According to details provided by the Boston Police Department, the incident took place around 1:00 AM, where police responded to a reported burglary in progress at 28 Worcester Square.
Upon their arrival, police witnessed the suspect, later identified as 44-year-old John Mucci of Somerville, attempting to flee the scene. They managed to apprehend Mucci near Worcester Square and Harrison Avenue. It was reported that Mucci had initially gained entry to the building but found himself locked between the two sets of doors. In his attempt to escape, he forcibly shattered a glass pane.
Mucci was taken into custody without further incident and has been charged with "Breaking and Entering Nighttime for a Felony." According to the Boston Police Department's report, the case is moving forward with Mucci's arraignment set to take place at the Boston Municipal Court.
