As we swing into the season of sustainability, Brooklyn Park residents are turning their attention to a greener future with a pair of eco-conscious events on the horizon. The city is sending out a reminder for locals to place their recycling carts by the curb before the bright and early time of 6:30 a.m. on collection day, as per the City of Brooklyn Park.
Service crews will be working the rounds right up until the evening bell at 6:00 p.m., making sure not a single recyclable is left behind, as reported by the City of Brooklyn Park. For a successful pick-up, the city advises keeping carts free of obstructions by placing them a safe three-foot distance from mailboxes or other carts, all while keeping them off the streets to avoid any chaotic tango with traffic.
Moving on to matters of material, a special Building Materials Reuse Donation Event is slated for Saturday, September 14, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Hosted at the Operations & Maintenance Facility located at 8300 Noble Ave., this event, according to information on the city's announcement, promises an opportunity for locals to donate leftover building materials from their latest renovation endeavors.
