San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins has launched a new community initiative called "Keeping it Safe with Dub Nation" to promote safety and education as students return to school. The event, happening tomorrow at 730 Terry Francois Blvd from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, will feature food, games, and opportunities for families to engage with local law enforcement, all free of charge, according to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between Jenkins' office, the San Francisco Police Department, the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, and the Recreation and Parks Department. It’s designed for children aged 5-10, with early registrants eligible to receive an electronic tablet. Jenkins expressed her excitement, saying she’s proud to partner with law enforcement to launch this first public safety event for children under her office's leadership.

The event is organized by the DA’s Youth and Young Adult Services Unit, which was created in June as part of Jenkins' Access to Hope Initiative. The goal is to divert young people from entering the criminal justice system, reduce cycles of violence, and support crime victims.
