
Relief spreads across the community as the Dallas Police Department reports that the previously missing Lewis James Booth has been located and confirmed to be safe. Just days ago, the anxious search was initiated following his disappearance. The Dallas Police Department had reached out through social media, urgently requesting the public's assistance to help find Mr. Booth, a 71-year-old Black male who was last seen on September 1st, walking northbound on 9000 S. Polk Street.
Mr. Booth's description was widely circulated to aid in his recovery. Noted to have brown eyes, gray hair, and a gray goatee, his physical traits were familiar markers in a sea of faces for those actively looking. Standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, he was last dressed in a light gray t-shirt, black jeans, and black shoes. This call to action echoed throughout the community, was meant to swiftly bring Mr. Booth back to safety, as it was believed he could likely have required assistance.
The community was urged to call 911 or (214) 671-4268 if they had any information regarding Mr. Booth's whereabouts. This collaborative effort between the police and the public aimed to quickly unite Booth with his concerned loved ones.
