Early morning gun violence claimed the life of a young man on a Dallas turnpike last Saturday, prompting a homicide investigation that has gripped the city. According to the Dallas Police Department, 23-year-old Jose Hernandez Marroquin was fatally shot while driving on Interstate 30. Marroquin's vehicle subsequently collided with a pole, a sequence of events reported around 5:55 AM.
Responding to the scene, Dallas Fire Rescue transported Marroquin to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Driving eastbound on I-30 before the shooting happened, the search for the assailant remains in full swing. As the Dallas Police continue to peel back the layers on this case, they have advised that the investigation is ongoing and have documented it under case number 134064-204.
