
Detroit police are actively searching for a suspect linked to a recent armed robbery outside an east side liquor store. The robbery, as reported by Audacy, occurred on Saturday, August 24, around 11:15 p.m. when a 29-year-old man was approached and robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Liquor Island Market, located in the 17300 block of E. Warren Ave.
The suspect, who managed to flee in a red Chevy Equinox, is said to have taken a wallet containing various items from the victim, alongside his jewelry. While he made away in the newer-model SUV featuring a moon roof and luggage rails, leaving the victim unharmed, the search for the perpetrator is ongoing. According to CBS Detroit, no arrests had been made as of their report.
Authorities released photos of the suspect's vehicle and have been seeking assistance from the public in locating the individual responsible for the robbery.
