
In Ellijay, a 19-year-old woman's life was cut short due to a gunshot wound. Three men from the locality have been placed under arrest on charges of felony murder. Further investigation has extended the accusation to four individuals, including a 17-year-old, according to FOX5 Atlanta.
The deceased, identified as Mallory Lyric Warden, was reportedly found in a car with a gunshot wound by Gilmer County Sheriff's deputies after they responded to a 911 call around 10:50 p.m. late last Wednesday. Warden was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but unfortunately did not survive. The Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, has worked diligently to quickly apprehend those suspected to be involved. The officials have noted that the shooting occurred on Talona Road, which is more than five miles from where Warden was found, as reported by Atlanta News First.
Charged in this incident are Gray Anthony McClure, 21, Robert Gabriel Shoilekov, 17, and Davonnte Lavon Brehon, 18, all from Ellijay. A fourth suspect, Anthony Jared Inestruza Whisnant, 19, has also been included among the accused. McClure and Brehon are currently held at the Gilmer County Jail awaiting proceedings. The circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting remain under investigation, according to Sheriff Stacy Nicholson, as per FOX5 Atlanta.
The ongoing investigation suggests that there may be additional arrests.
