An Enid man has been arrested by local police in connection with a 2023 homicide, authorities confirmed on Thursday. Juan Daniel Resendiz, aged 34, has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of Brooklyn Smith whom he previously claimed had died by suicide, as reported by KFOR.
Resendiz had originally contacted police on May 4, 2023, to report that Smith had shot herself in the head at his residence in the 800 block of E. Poplar Ave, but developments in the investigation have led to his recent arrest.
