
The New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Algiers. According to WDSU, the collision occurred on the evening of Thursday, September 12, along L.B. Landry Avenue. The authorities were called to the scene at approximately 9:26 p.m., arriving to the distressing tableau of a vehicle that had collided with the motorcycle, resulting in a fatality.
The identity of the deceased motorcyclist, pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, has not yet been disclosed by the New Orleans Police Department officials. The area of the crash, detailed by WGNO as the 1500 block of L.B. Landry Avenue, became a locus of investigation with fragments of vehicles littering the street, adjacent to the Crescent City Connection just north. A car in the crash was reported to have hit the motorcycle.
