
Last night, the authorities were alerted to a tragic incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. The collision occurred in the vicinity of Telegraph Canyon Road and Paseo Ranchero. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, emergency calls occurred around 10:15 pm on September 26th, drawing attention to the accident.
A passenger vehicle had struck an individual standing on the 1000 block of Telegraph Canyon Road. Despite efforts by witnesses and emergency services to provide first aid, the pedestrian, estimated to be between 20-25 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, their identity still unknown. The driver, a 69-year-old local of Chula Vista, remained after the accident and cooperated with law enforcement.
Adding to the urgency of late-night traffic accidents, the Chula Vista Traffic Bureau has taken the lead in investigating the circumstances of the collision. They have yet to make a final statement on what caused the tragic event. Preliminary assessments, however, indicate that alcohol was likely not a factor in the incident.
