Miami neighborhood was interrupted by FBI raid yesterday evening. According to 7News, agents in tactical gear delivered court-ordered enforcement at a luxury home near Northeast 83rd Street and Northeast 12th Avenue.
Residents caught unexpectedly by the raid described hearing sounds similar to flashbang grenades and saw smoke billowing near the garage. "When I looked up, I saw the SWAT coming up on the Intracoastal here," Ralph, a local witness, told 7News. "I could hear folks screaming or hollering, at least one or two people holler and scream or something." The commotion undeniably shook the streets as videos emerged showing federal investigators in camouflage.
Synchronizing with the FBI, Miami Police provided backup as the investigation unfolded into nighttime. With three tow trucks spotted at the scene, the purpose behind the sizable show of force remains shrouded in ambiguity. NBC Miami confirmed that the FBI was serving warrants, although details concerning the number of potential detainees or the nature of the warrants is yet undisclosed.
Neighboring residents are now seeking clarity. Beth Felsen, who hinted at frequent parties at the targeted home, expressed her curiosity, stating, "I hope so. I'd like to know what's going on, but I would like to go home," in a 7News interview. Meanwhile, Ralph commended the efficiency of the law enforcement's intervention: "Whatever they did, they did their job well, because we haven’t heard anything. I commend Miami PD or SWAT, or whatever they were; they did their job well," he said.
