The landscape of entertainment and dining in Clayton is poised to receive a new player with the introduction of Flight Club, a “social darts” venue set to occupy the space that once housed Cantina Laredo. In an announcement made public yesterday, State of Play Hospitality, known for operating various dining and entertainment concepts across the U.S. and the U.K., has formally signed a lease for the 7710 Forsyth Blvd. location, as reported by FirstAlert4.
Flight Club is not just aiming to swiftly expand their brand, but to also provide a cutting-edge twist on the traditional game of darts. The concept touts a tech-savvy approach to the game, combined with an upscale food and beverage program. This new entry into the St. Louis County entertainment scene is expected to open its doors in early 2025 and will take up a total of 6,300 square feet, plus an additional 1,000 square feet of outdoor space on a covered patio, as detailed by KSDK.
The venue’s chosen spot, on the ground floor of Centene Plaza B. This particular office complex, standing 17 stories tall and encompassing 500,000 square feet, signifies a prime location for Flight Club’s tenth lease in North America. In a statement obtained by FirstAlert4, Toby Harris, CEO of State of Play Hospitality, expressed enthusiasm: “Ever since we opened our first U.S. Flight Club in Chicago, we’ve wanted to bring the concept to other parts of the Midwest and the St. Louis metro area has long been on our radar.” Harris goes on to say, “With Clayton being a premier regional hub for business, dining and retail we believe it will be a great fit for Flight Club and we’re excited to open alongside some illustrious restaurant neighbors.”
Flight Club will be moving into the space previously occupied by Cantina Laredo, which closed on December 31 after nine years in business. The closure of the Tex-Mex restaurant left a noticeable gap in the local dining scene, but Flight Club's arrival is expected to offer a new take on entertainment and social interaction. This forthcoming opening was further confirmed by BizJournals, rounding out the community’s anticipation for the innovative darts concept.
