Following a significant traffic accident, FM 407 has once again opened to the public as of 1:18 pm yesterday, after being closed due to a collision involving a fully loaded dump truck. The incident took place at FM 407 at Mulkey Lane and resulted in a complete shutdown of the thoroughfare in both directions, causing substantial disruptions.
Denton County Emergency Services District #1 officials were swift to respond to the emergency, working amidst the twisted metal and spilled cargo that had littered the road earlier in the day. "FM 407 at Mulkey Lane is closed in both directions", announced the Division on their Facebook page, urging people to "Please avoid the area while first responders work." Despite the urgency of the notice, it was noted that the responders, in both directions, were working diligently amidst the chaos of the crash.
The Town of Northlake, Texas, Justin Police Department, City of Justin - Government, and All American Towing & Recovery were also involved in the incident response and clean-up operation. The official notification of the road reopening provided relief to commuters who had been advised to seek alternative routes throughout the traffic interruption.
