A former Union County Clerk's Office employee, Whitney Goins, has been indicted on charges involving fraudulent use of a credit card and official misconduct, as revealed in an investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. According to WVLT, the TBI began investigating last month following alleged misconduct that came to light, and during this time, agents discovered the fraudulent activities linked to Goins.
Goins, 38, was found to have used a credit card she was not authorized to; this was a card obtained from someone else while she was working at the clerk's office which led to her termination WBIR reported, the allegations initially brought forward in August culminated in Goins' arrest and subsequent booking into the Union County Jail on a $2,500 bond on Monday.
