Fort Worth's District 10 residents are gearing up to join Councilmember Alan Blaylock and city officials at the second annual District 10 Town Hall on Thursday, Sept. 12. The event, slated for 6:30 p.m. at the Speedway Club Ballroom, 3545 Lone Star Circle, aims to foster dialogue about key issues such as safety, development, and transportation.

The town hall will feature discussions led by Fort Worth Police Department Chief Neil Noakes, who will outline the distinction between city and national crime trends, discuss recruitment, and introduce campaigns like R3 and Be Safe, Drive Smart. According to the City of Fort Worth, other speakers from the police department, including Commanders Kenjura and Molina and NPOs, are set to talk about crime trends within the district and to openly encourage residents to participate in community policing efforts.

Assistant City Manager Valerie Washington is expected to provide updates on Fire and MedStar response times. Transportation & Public Works Director Lauren Prieur will deliver a comprehensive update on District 10, along with a distribution of handouts and a TxDOT update packet. A range of departments, including Development Services, Property Management, Park & Recreation, and Economic Development, will be on hand to present updates and information relevant to District 10 constituents.
