The iconic Fountain Park Fountain, a staple in the serene landscape of Fountain Hills will be taking a short break from its usual jets of glory. Town officials have announced that the central attraction will cease its aquatic acrobatics from September 23rd to the 27th due to maintenance work and a lake liner evaporation test.
Visitors looking forward to the picturesque sprays reaching for the Arizona sky will have to pause their camera clicks. Park authorities are set to engage in what they've described as an "evaporation test," a necessary step to ensure the integrity of the lake liner. This is in tandem with, "routine, preventative maintenance service," aimed at extending the life of the fountain's motors. The park promises the return of the fountain's splashy performances starting Saturday, September 28th.
This isn't the first time the Fountain Park Fountain has undergone maintenance which is essential for any large-scale infrastructure, especially one that serves as both a tourist attraction and a community symbol. The town's proactive approach to maintenance and testing helps prevent larger issues down the line and ensures that the fountain remains a reliable and impressive feature of the local landscape.
The test requires still water, hence the suspension of the fountain's operation. But residents and visitors need not worry; the pause is only temporary. While the sight of the fountain's high-flying water may be missed for a few days, town officials thank everyone in advance for their understanding and patience.
