The two officers involved were able to extricate themselves from the wreck and were subsequently taken to UMass Hospital, their injuries determined not to be life-threatening. The Subaru was carrying three passengers, two of whom also received treatment at UMass Hospital for injuries of a non-life-threatening nature. In a public declaration, "The Shrewsbury Police Department would like to extend our gratitude to multiple good Samaritans from our community who stopped to offer assistance to our officers and the individuals involved in the crash," the Department said in a statement obtained by Boston 25 News.
