Four men have been apprehended in Thomson, Georgia, following the gun-related death of local man Calvin Hart, Jr. on September 13. According to a press release by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Antavious Griffin, Tyreon Mew, Jatavious Griffin, and Tony Griffin, all residents of Thomson, are currently in custody at the McDuffie County Jail concerning the case.
The GBI and McDuffie County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of the crime at a residence on Royal Street, where they found Hart deceased from gunshot wounds; no arrests were initially made at that time, the severity of this tragedy was continued by a pursuit that ended in the arrest of Antavious Griffin on multiple charges including Aggravated Assault and Felony Murder, whereas Tyreon Mew, who was caught in the aftermath of the car chase, now faces repercussions due to his presence at the scene.
Charges against the foursome don't stop with the direct implications of the shooting, as Jatavious Griffin and Tony Griffin are also facing allegations of Unlawful Possession of Firearms or Weapons and Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity.
