Expectant and current parents in Pima County, mark your calendars for a day of support and fun. The Pima County Health Department has teamed up with Arizona Bilingual News to bring locals a free event tailored to help families thoroughly navigate the journey from pre-pregnancy through the early childhood years. The Tu Bebé & You Expo, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, will open its doors from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Kino Event Center, located at 2805 E. Ajo Way.

According to the Pima County news release, the expo is not just going to offer information and resources, but also entertainment and the chance to win valuable raffle prizes. The $500 raffle prizes are designed to especially appeal to expectant parents, and families, and include an “everything mommy” package. Those attending the expo can look forward to engaging with various services such as the Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-Visiting Program, Vital Records, and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program.

Entertainment for the day includes a lineup of local talent set to provide a lively backdrop for the event. Arizona Bilingual News has confirmed performances from Zumba classes, A Todo Folklore groups, Ballet Folklorico Tapatio – children’s groups, singer Lucy Coronado, and Viva Performing Arts Center showcasing Jazz, Tapp, Hip Hop, and Ballet. Furthermore, Andres Gonzales y su Show de Niños will be there to entertain the younger attendees.

The health and well-being of the community are a priority, with PCHD's representation from various programs such as Community Mental Health and Addiction (CMHA), Health Mobile, Youth and School Communities, and the Tobacco Prevention Program. Additional health services will be accessible, including a mobile clinic, HIV and STI testing van, and vaccines for Tdap, flu, and RSV to be made available for pregnant individuals. This variety of health resources and services aims to comprehensively address the needs of the community.
