Frisco Commuters Alert: Roadwork Projects to Cause Delays Over Next Two WeeksSource: Google Street View

Frisco residents and commuters, brace yourselves for the usual slow-downs and rerouted traffic, as the city announces a bevy of roadway projects kicking off this week. Details about these disruptions, which might last an estimated two weeks, weather permitting, are now public.

Ongoing pavement replacement is set to continue at several locations, including 11201 Preston Rd., 7804 Quiet Meadow Ln., the intersection of Shady Brook Ln. and Prestwick Dr., and along Promise Land Dr., between the 5200 to 5500 blocks. Port Edwards Ln. is also on the list, requiring drivers to seek alternate routes or plan for potential delays, according to the City of Frisco.

But it's not just the road surfaces getting a facelift. Intersection improvements throughout Frisco mean lane closures that could extend motorists' commute times. From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, the intersections of Ohio Dr. and Hillcrest Rd., Stonebrook Pkwy. and FM 423, plus Preston Rd. intersecting with Main St. will experience lane closures. Additionally, the Wade Blvd. and Preston Rd. crossover, which has been under construction since November of last year, is anticipated to wrap up by Q3 2024.
