According to the City of Frisco, the traffic signals at the intersections of U.S. 380 with FM 423, Championship Drive, and Legacy Drive, are set to be moved further south today. The adjustments are part of a broader plan to alleviate congestion on one of the city's most traveled thoroughfares.
While these changes promise to eventually make for smoother sailing, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is urging drivers to remain particularly vigilant as they get used to the new setup. "Drivers should use caution and pay attention to the new traffic pattern", warns the advisory, per the City of Frisco. It's the latest step in the agency's U.S. 380 widening project, which has been ongoing to better accommodate the rising traffic demands of the rapidly growing city.
