Frisco residents and commuters will need to navigate a series of new challenges as the city rolls out several roadwork projects expected to impact daily traffic. According to the City of Frisco, drivers will face construction at multiple sites, ranging from pavement replacement to intersection improvements.
Starting with ongoing pavement replacement, motorists at 5309 Lebeau Ln. or traversing the 5200-5500 block of Promise Land Dr. will have to deal with the reconstruction efforts. Similar work is being done on Port Edwards Ln. These projects, which kicked off earlier this month, are expected to cause some delays and disruptions for the estimated two weeks of work, weather permitting.
Additionally, the Intersection Improvements Project has initiated daily lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the intersections of Ohio Dr. and Hillcrest Rd., as well as Stonebrook Pkwy. and FM 423. These alterations began in September and May of this year, respectively. The works at these high-volume intersections are part of a wider initiative to enhance traffic flow and safety, which has been detailed in the City of Frisco. Commuters can expect to adjust their travel plans accordingly during these hours.
