From October 7 to 11, this event will honor those who consistently deliver excellent service to clients and colleagues. In a recently published article on Fulton County's official website, County Manager Dick Anderson stated, "National Customer Service Week is not just a place holder on our calendar, it is a time Fulton County looks forward to so that we can adequately celebrate everyone who provides the excellent service."
Fulton County is set to actively recognize the contributions of these individuals, going to celebrate a theme of 'Above and Beyond'. Brigitte Bailey, Director of Customer Experience and Solutions, emphasized the importance of the recognition, saying, "Customer Service Week is our time to not only shine, but to place the spotlight on our team members, and the significant work being done." These remarks, detailed on the county's news update, the schedule will include various pop-up events aimed at expressing gratitude to those in service roles.
A pivotal event, the Annual Customer Service Legends Luncheon, is planned for Tuesday, October 8, where high performing customer service professionals will be spotlighted. These employees are those who have been identified throughout the past year as having gone above and beyond in their roles, providing exceptional service to the citizens and other employees of Fulton County.
Rooted in a tradition established by the U.S. Congress with an official proclamation in 1992, National Customer Service Week is meant to underline the significant role of good customer service and to recognize those committed to providing it day-to-day. The Fulton County Board of Commissioners also officially caught on to celebrating this week, starting in 2017. The county’s Customer Service Division, as mentioned on their website, is a primary resource for information about services, contact details, complaint resolution, language assistance, and communication for the hearing impaired, including notary services.
