The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has made arrests in a case involving a deputy from the Dodge County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Marquis Clark, 27, and Denzay "Kalia" Clark, 23, both of Eastman, Georgia, are facing charges related to possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of children.
Following a request for assistance by Dodge County Sheriff Brian Robinson on September 4, 2024, regarding inappropriate contact with a minor, the GBI launched an investigation. The charges against Marquis Clark also include Violation of Oath of Office, while Denzay Clark has an additional charge of Furnishing Obscene Materials to Minors. According to a press release by the GBI, both individuals have been booked into the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
Authorities are seeking additional information from the public as the investigation continues. If you have information related to this case, you are urged to contact the GBI Eastman office at 478-374-6988. Tips may also be submitted by calling 1-800-597-TIPS(8477), online at the GBI's website, or through the See Something, Send Something mobile app.
Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be handed over to the Oconee District Attorney's Office, who will oversee the prosecution. The full extent of the implications for the Clarks remains to be seen, but the charges carry serious weight, especially for a member of the law enforcement community who has sworn an oath to protect and serve.
