La Nube, the celebrated STEAM center located in the heart of El Paso, has named Gina Martinez as its new CEO. According to KFOX-TV, Martinez steps into the role with a significant 20-year background in executive leadership, lauded for advancing relationships, operational prowess, and potent advocacy for inclusivity.
"Gina brings a wealth of experience to La Nube. Her impressive twenty-year journey as an executive leader showcases her skills in relationship cultivation, operational management, and a genuine passion for championing inclusivity," Josh Hunt, the Chair of La Nube's Board of Directors said, as per KFOX-TV. Martinez herself is deeply rooted in the El Paso community, being a Coronado High School alumna and having, more than two decades of leadership experience.
The innovative children's museum known as La Nube has been a supportive space for creatives and young learners since its doors opened on August 10. Martinez shared her ambitions, as obtained by KTSM, remarking, "I am incredibly excited to join the talented team behind this innovative and transformative resource for our city. La Nube is a shining example of creativity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to growth."
"I am excited to work with area school districts, community partners, educational advocates, and passionate donors to develop 21st-century programming and experiences that engage the K–12 community and inspire guests of all ages to discover the joy of learning through creativity and innovation," Martinez added, in response to her duties as CEO to expand on La Nube's offerings, as reported by Blooloop. With her at the helm, La Nube expects to broaden its reach and deepen its impact on education, within, and beyond the museum's walls.
Martinez takes over from Stephanie Otero, who served as interim CEO, signaling the beginning of a new era for the STEAM museum. With her comprehensive understanding of the El Paso community and her commitment to fostering an inclusive and educational environment La Nube is poised for an innovative future under her guidance.
