
A tragic incident in Goshen Township has taken the life of a juvenile following a motorcycle crash yesterday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that the accident occurred just before 2 p.m. along Smith Road. The deceased was operating a 2003 Honda motorcycle traveling northbound when the vehicle veered off the road, hit a ditch, and overturned. Despite wearing a helmet, the serious injuries sustained ultimately led to the boy's passing. WLWT reports that after being first transported to Bethesda North Hospital, the victim was subsequently moved to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A dispatch supervisor disclosed the victim's age, telling FOX19 that the boy was 17. According to local authorities and the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the teen drove a 2003 Honda CBR600F during the mishap. Details surrounding the cause of the crash are still under investigation. Still, the initial assessment indicates that after leaving the roadway, a collision with a ditch was the immediate precursor to the motorcycle flipping over.
