Two juveniles in Jefferson County are facing several charges following a series of criminal events that occurred over the weekend, which included breaking into a church and a subsequent carjacking that left one man with stab wounds. The sheriff's office reported that the first incident took place at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Talbott on Saturday.
The situation escalated the following day when deputies, called to the vicinity of the same church on Valley Home Road, discovered a carjacking victim suffering from stab wounds. According to the WVLT report, the man was subsequently transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. Shortly after this incident, a car was observed leaving a nearby home, which was then stopped by law enforcement on Roy Messer Highway.

This juvenile was taken to a hospital for treatment, as outlined in a statement obtained by the WATE coverage of the events. Both suspects have since been taken into custody and are charged with various offenses including aggravated assault, carjacking, and burglary, among others.
The two juveniles are now being held at the Richard Bean Juvenile Detention Facility in Knox County. Their charges encompass a range of serious offenses, including amongst others, aggravated robbery, vandalism of property valued over $1,000, theft in excess of $1,000, simple possession of a Schedule II drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
