Kingsport Parks and Recreation is preparing to serve the community with a "Champions of the Court" pickleball tournament. The pickleball tournament is to become a favorite Monday night activity in the area, slated to run from October 7 through October 28. All the action is happening at Riverview Park Pickleball Courts. Games are set to take place between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Note that this community event costs $5 per person each week. However, the event will cap at 20 players per week, sign up as the registrations open on September 30. Participants must be 16 or older to participate and have at least a 3.0 skill level to join in.

Games are going to get competitive as players will be randomly matched before each session. At the end of the four weeks, the top four players face off in a championship game on November 4. The prizes are on the line for the top two winners.
