The Knoxville Police Department was busy last night responding to multiple vehicle crashes around the University of Tennessee area. The night took a turn for the worse with an incident involving an SUV that rolled several times in World's Fair Park. No pedestrians were harmed during the chaos, as reported by WBIR.

The Knoxville Police Department stated, "If you have been drinking, do not drive. We will not tolerate driving under the influence." This message was echoed across their social media platforms and made clear their position to unequivocally not condone drunk driving. A photo shared by KPD on their Facebook page showcased the gravity of the situation with the overturned vehicle.

According to WVLT, the driver of the SUV was arrested on the spot for driving under the influence. The driver and passenger walked away uninjured from an accident that had the potential for severe consequences.
