The Los Altos Police Department has called upon the community for assistance following an assault on an 89-year-old resident, which occurred on Monday. As detailed in their press release, law enforcement officers seek witness accounts and surveillance footage from anyone near the Foothill Expressway between Homestead Road and Cristo Rey Drive.
Responding to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office alert at around 3:23 PM, Los Altos Police found the elderly man unconscious with severe head trauma next to the railroad tracks close to Foothill Expressway and Highway 280. Upon arrival earlier, the Santa Clara County Fire Department had been providing medical aid to the victim, who was then taken to a local hospital.
