Following a Shot Spotter activation last night in Roxbury, Boston Police arrested an 18-year-old Lynn resident, Princess Garcia, on multiple firearm-related charges. According to the official police report, officers from District B-2 responded to the alert around 9:59 PM at 41 Walnut Park.

Upon arrival at the scene, they spotted a vehicle hastily departing from the area and neglecting to halt at the intersection red light at Townsend Street and Walnut Avenue. Initiating a traffic stop, the officers found the vehicle accelerated, escaping as they approached on foot.

A description of the fleeing vehicle was disseminated rapidly, guiding both Boston officers and the Massachusetts State Police to locate and stop it near Columbia Road, close to the 93 South exit. Law enforcement officials detained and handcuffed all three occupants, proceeding to conduct a frisk which led to the recovery of a firearm from Garcia, who was operating the vehicle.

The retrieved weapon, a .380 Auto with six rounds in its magazine, was not just loaded but also had its serial number defaced. "Garcia was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Defacement of a Firearm Serial Number, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Fail to Stop for Police," as reported by the Boston Police Department. At her forthcoming arraignment, she is expected to appear in Roxbury District Court.
