An investigation is unfolding as the Major Case Squad probes the circumstances around the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man in Cahokia Heights. The unfortunate incident occurred yesterday evening on the 2400 block of Renois Lane, as reported by First Alert 4. Authorities arrived to a grim discovery of the young man, identified as Damonta Mosley, inside of a vehicle with at least one gunshot wound.

Despite efforts to save his life, Mosley succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital. As the quest for clarity intensifies, a total of 21 investigators are diligently working the case. This recent crime adds to a troubling tally chronicled by KSDK, noting that since late June, there have been three Major Case Squad investigations arising out of Cahokia Heights.
