In an early morning incident on September 21, a 41-year-old man was victim to a carjacking in the 5400 block of Pennsylvania, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The man, found only in his socks and underwear, reported the crime to District 1 officers, who arrived at the scene just before 2:00 a.m. to investigate.
The victim described a harrowing encounter that began when he pulled over to assist a seemingly distressed man in the street. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, as the victim stopped to help, a second man armed with a gun, appeared, demanding the victim's money and the immediate exit from his vehicle. Despite some initial hesitation, where the victim did not exit his silver 2016 Chevrolet Traverse right away, he was struck in the head with the gun and subsequently forced to disrobe to his undergarments.
The police reported that both assailants then fled the area in the victim's automobile. Officers have initiated an investigation, and they are currently on the lookout for the stolen Chevrolet Traverse, a silver model from the year 2016. The man has yet to be identified and his condition post-assault was not disclosed in the report.
