In the predawn hours of a quiet Monday, the Chelsea Car Wash in North Memphis became the site of a violent altercation that escalated to gunfire, resulting in critical injuries. According to the Memphis Police, the incident unfolded at approximately 1 a.m. on 1378 May Street, where officers discovered a man with gunshot wounds behind the building, as reported by Local Memphis. The victim sustained injuries to the leg and the buttocks and was subsequently hospitalized in critical condition.
As the investigation went on, police found bullet casings in one of the wash stalls, showing how severe and quick the incident was. As reported by Action News 5, her brother engaged in a dispute with the victim before allegedly discharging his firearm and fleeing, his form lost to the night, clad in a dark blue hoodie and black pants. The woman, along with the alleged assailant, left before police could fully document their identities.
