The victim, whose identity remains unreleased pending family notification by the Medical Examiner's Office, succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
The collision reported at approximately 10:25 pm, prompted a swift response from local law enforcement and fire departments. The Sheriff's Transit Enforcement Unit (TEU) is now leading the investigation into the accident, as they typically handle incidents associated with the transit routes of the North County Transit District.
