A North Las Vegas neighborhood became the scene of a violent altercation Tuesday evening when a man in a wheelchair was shot in the head. The incident took place around 9 p.m. in an apartment on the 1700 block of Yale Street. According to 8 News Now, North Las Vegas Police Department officers discovered a 50-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to UMC and remains in critical condition.

The tension escalated as, fleeing after the shooting, the suspect encountered an individual near the 200 block of Judson Street. Reported by FOX5 Vegas, who said, the suspect attempted to shoot this person but fortunately missed. Police later apprehended the suspect who was attempting to escape. He was arrested on multiple charges, with police not releasing his identity to the public.

The suspect, now in custody, faces two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and being a convicted person in possession of a firearm, alongside other charges as per NLVPD's report.
