A Redwood City neighborhood was disrupted by gunfire on Wednesday night, leaving one man injured and local police searching for answers. The Redwood City Police Department reported that officers were called to the corner of Jackson Avenue and Adams Street after reports of gunshots came in around 9:36 P.M. According to a press release by the Redwood City Police Department, upon arrival, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was quickly taken to a nearby hospital. He is described as being in critical but stable condition. 

The Police Department has asked for the public's help. "Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the Redwood City Police Department’s non-emergency number at (650)780-7100," the Redwood City Police Department stated in their press release.
