A shooting incident disrupted the morning routine at a McDonald's restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee, leaving a man injured. According to a report by Action News 5, Memphis Police responded to the emergency around 9 a.m. today at the establishment on Getwell Road.
As per a FOX13 Memphis interview, Rodkaevious Ellis, an employee at the McDonald's, recounted the ordeal: "We didn't see where he came from we just saw that he was shooting at her through the window. I was just coming into work. Me and my coworkers was hearing a lot of shots and we looked out the window and it was a shooting happening. Some of the customers were behind their cars in the drive-thru." The shooting reportedly took place shortly before 8:00 a.m., catching witnesses and patrons off guard.
The victim was promptly taken to Regional One Hospital with non-critical injuries. The Local Memphis report stated that Memphis Police had detained one man in connection with the shooting, although they did not immediately disclose what had prompted the violent episode.
