The Mankato Department of Public Safety is currently on the lookout for a motorcyclist accused of reckless driving in the downtown Mankato area, according to a post on their Facebook page, the incident took place on the afternoon of Sunday, September 22, as officers tried to pull the motorcyclist over at approximately 4:02 pm— the individual in question was last spotted heading south on Monks Avenue.
The department has released images of the motorcyclist and is reaching out to the community for assistance in the identification of the person involved, members of the public with any relevant information are encouraged to step forward and contact the Mankato DPS at 507-387-8725, but meanwhile, the pursuit continues as the motorcyclist has evaded initial capture and the department stresses this is an ongoing investigation.
On their Facebook page, the city has urged anyone with details that might aid in locating and identifying the motorcyclist to come forward, emphasizing the role community cooperation plays in resolving such matters; the post has been publicly shared in hopes of garnering wider visibility.
