
The MBTA Transit Police Department has issued a call for assistance in identifying a person of interest related to an assault with intent to rob. The incident, which took place on September 20 at approximately 6:30 p.m. on board a Red Line train between JFK and UMass.
The MBTA's appeal was brief which was posted on their X account: "ID Sought re: Assault w/Intent to Rob 9/20 630PM on board a Red Line train JFK-Umass, Recognize this person of interest? Pls contact our CIU at 617-222-1050 w/any info. You can remain anonymous. TY." They hope to quickly apprehend the individual. Those with information are encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigations Unit, with the assurance that they can remain anonymous if they prefer.
