A bit of a snag for book lovers at the Mesa Express Library this week — the hold lockers are out of commission. Patrons looking to pick up their reserved materials will need to adjust their routines as all holds have now been relocated to a cart inside the library itself.

Those who have the luxury of Extended Access registration can still swing by to grab their books, Monday through Saturday, anytime from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., despite the lockers being temporarily out of service. For others who haven't signed up for that perk, the library staff will be on hand to help out on weekdays, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

According to a recent notice by Mesa Express Library, the reason behind the lockers going out of service was not specified, but the announcement assures that the library is doing what they can to minimize disruption.

For those who might need to, or prefer to, pick up materials at a different location, you're encouraged to give the library a ring at 480-644-3100, where a staff member will be readily available to assist in rerouting your holds. With the hold lockers out, getting your reading material might require a tad more effort, but Mesa Express Library seems to be trying to make the process as seamless as possible.
