After years of anticipation, Mesa's ambitious Cannon Beach project is dialing in on the final stage before its grand opening, with a slew of new entertainment and retail options recently announced. According to a report by ABC15, developer Cole Cannon has confirmed that essential utilities are now operational, a crucial step permitting water testing and wave production at the surf park. Cannon Beach aims to iron out operational wrinkles with a series of soft openings featuring professional surfers, slated to occur throughout September.
Positioned at the southeast corner of Power and Warner roads in southeast Mesa, the 37-acre entertainment complex will offer an impressive 500,000 square feet of retail and dining spaces alongside novel attractions like a surf lagoon and a cliff-diving lagoon, "Cannon said there will be soft opening-type events with pro surfers for tenants that are opening locations at Cannon Beach." Two hotel properties are also planned for the site, an Aloft Hotel by Marriott and a Cannon Beach-branded four-star hotel, both drawing design inspiration from quintessential beach towns in Southern California and Hawaii, as ABC15 reported.
As the finishing touches to the surf park are made, several tenants, including LIVE Hydration Spa, Moku Hawaiian Grill, Hi5 Nails & Spa, and The Fresh Monkee, have been gearing up for their imminent launches. Adding to this eclectic mix are newly signed entertainment ventures, notably Mini City, an indoor playground spanning 12,500 square feet designed for youngsters, and Brkthrough, an escape room endeavor, occupying a considerable 21,709 square feet of real estate, as detailed in an article by Orion Property Partners.
The landscape of Cannon Beach is shaping up to be a refreshing addition to Mesa's entertainment scene, promising a range of experiences for visitors and locals soon to explore, "Cannon said users like LIVE Hydration Spa, Moku Hawaiian Grill, Hi5 Nails & Spa and The Fresh Monkee are set to open in the coming weeks," which, together with the addition of Mini City and Brkthrough, is expected to enhance the family-friendly offerings of the area, leading to increasing anticipation for the official opening.
