A tragic incident shook the North Side of Milwaukee on Tuesday afternoon when a 35-year-old was fatally stabbed near 38th and Congress. The Milwaukee Police Department reported the event occurred just after 4 p.m. on September 17. "It’s really quiet around here so I’m shocked that it happened," Nevaeh Kennedy, who works just blocks away, recounted to TMJ4. Further sharing her dismay, Kennedy added, "There’s something happening every day. It’s just getting ridiculous."
The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office is currently reviewing the case for potential charges against the arrested individual. The Milwaukee Fire Department, having responded to the area for a "report of people down," found and attempted to revive the victim to no avail. According to TMJ4, the Milwaukee County medical examiner's presence was requested at the crime scene, signaling the gravity of the events that unfolded.
